Home Energy Survey
The Home Energy Survey includes on-site visual inspection of the energy features of the home and documentation of its general condition, including envelope features, equipment types and characteristics, appliance and lighting characteristics, and utility use and billing history. The Home Energy Survey is a visual inspection only and does not include the use of a blower door, duct leakage testing, an infrared camera or other test equipment.
Blower Door Test
Blower Door Tests are used to measure the airtightness of a building's envelope, diagnose and demonstrate air leakage problems, estimate natural infiltration rates, estimate efficiency losses from building air leakage, and certify construction integrity.
Duct Blaster Test
Duct Leakage can be a large source of heat loss in winter because the temperature of the air in the duct is higher than air in the house. Likewise with air conditioning in the summer you are losing your cooled air. Duct leakage contibutes to uneven air distribution and discomfort.
Carbon Monoxide/Combustion Safety Inspection
We test your combustion appliances(furnace, water heater, gas oven, for gas leakage, cabon monoxide and proper venting. We set up a "worst case scenario" to ensure these appliances are working correctly and safely.
